What Exactly is Delta-8?

Let’s start by looking at what makes Delta-8 THC different from Delta-9 THC. This is a big deal because one of those compounds is a controlled substance while the other is not. Delta-9 (also known as marijuna) goes above the .3% or less THC limit set by the government. Since 2018, the Agricultural Improvement Act (more commonly referred to as the Farm Bill) took hemp off the controlled substance list. The caveat is that it must contain 0.3% THC or less. Marijuana (Delta-9) goes above the THC limit so it remains a controlled substance at this time.

And what about drug tests? Will you pass if you take on right after using Delta-8? That answer depends mainly on two things: how regularly you consume it and how much of it you consume. Since Delta-8 THC contains similar metabolites to Delta-9 THC, there is a chance you might not pass.
